Roadside Help for Semi Trucks in the Phoenix Metro

A breakdown on the shoulder of I-10 or I-17 is stressful and dangerous — especially in a Phoenix summer, when temperatures on the pavement are well above 110°F. Emergency Roadside Truck & Trailer Repair sends a mobile diesel mechanic with tools and common parts directly to your truck to diagnose the problem and, in most cases, repair it right there.

We help owner-operators, fleet drivers, box trucks, buses and diesel RVs across the Valley, from Buckeye and Avondale in the West Valley to Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert in the East Valley.

Se habla español. Many of our roadside calls are in Spanish, and our team can take your call and explain the repair in Spanish. Ver esta página en español →

Common Roadside Problems We Fix

  • No-start and dead batteries — batteries, starters, cables and grounds.
  • Air leaks and brake issues — air lines, valves, compressors, glad hands (air brake repair).
  • Engine derates and warning lights — DEF, DPF and sensor faults read and repaired on-site (DPF repair).
  • Overheating — blown hoses, belts, tensioners and coolant leaks.
  • Fuel problems — fuel filters, fuel delivery and air in the system.
  • Tire blowouts and wheel-end problems — steer, drive and trailer tires (roadside tire service).
  • Trailer issues — lights, light cords and pigtails, air lines and glad hands, landing gear, springs and air bags, on dry vans, flatbeds, reefers and lowboys (trailer repair).
  • Electrical faults — wiring, charging and module problems (electrical diagnostics).

Roadside Tire Service for Trucks and Trailers

A blown tire is one of the most common reasons a truck or trailer ends up on the shoulder. Our service trucks come out to replace or repair the tire where you are stopped, whether it’s a steer tire on a tractor, a drive tire, or a tire on a dry van, flatbed, lowboy or utility trailer.

  • Tell us the tire size when you call. It’s printed on the sidewall (for example 295/75R22.5, 11R22.5 or ST235/85R16 on a smaller trailer).
  • Tell us how many tires and which position: steer, drive or trailer, and the side of the truck.
  • Mention any other damage. A blowout can tear air lines, light cords or mud flaps. We can fix those on the same trip.

We confirm the tire and the price on the phone before we send anyone, so you know what to expect. More details on our mobile truck tire service page.

Who We Help

Our roadside service is built for commercial vehicles: semi trucks, tractor-trailers, box trucks, buses and service trucks, trailers of all kinds, diesel RVs and motorhomes, and heavy equipment such as skid steers and forklifts. If you drive a passenger car, your auto insurance or car roadside plan is usually the faster and cheaper option for a lockout or a jump-start.

What to Do When Your Truck Breaks Down

  1. Get safe. Pull as far off the road as possible, turn on hazards and place your warning triangles.
  2. Note your location. Highway, direction of travel, mile marker or the nearest exit.
  3. Call (480) 932-4860. Describe the symptoms, warning lights and whether you are loaded.
  4. Stay with the truck. We give you an arrival estimate and the technician calls when close.

When a Roadside Fix Isn’t Enough

Some problems — a failed transmission, internal engine damage, major suspension work — need a shop. Because we run our own semi truck repair shop in Phoenix, we can move straight from the roadside diagnosis to the shop repair without you starting over with someone new.

How Much Does Semi Truck Roadside Assistance Cost?

Roadside repair pricing depends on the distance to your truck, the time needed to diagnose the problem, the labor for the repair and any parts used. Diagnosis is billed on the time and work it takes, even when the fix turns out to need a shop. We explain the charges when you call and before the repair starts, so there are no surprises. Compared to a heavy tow across the Valley plus waiting days for a shop bay, an on-site repair is often the faster and cheaper way back on the road.

Tips to Avoid a Roadside Breakdown in Arizona

  • Check coolant, belts and hoses before long summer runs — heat is the number-one cause of calls we get.
  • Carry spare fuses, a glad-hand seal and a gallon of coolant.
  • Keep batteries and cable ends clean and tight.
  • Watch your gauges for rising temperature or dropping air pressure and pull over early.
  • Keep DEF topped off and let the truck finish regenerations.
